Report an issue works on a fresh install with no flags or extensions. Unsure of what flag or extension may be causing the issue.

Comment 4 by shrike@chromium.org, Jan 14 2017

Are there any error messages from Chrome in the Console?

Comment 5 by jfz30...@gmail.com, Jan 14 2017

Nope. There are no errors that seem to point to anything with the button.

It works on a fresh install, but it doesn't on my install that I use daily (with extensions & flags). Not sure what may be causing it.

#9: can you try these steps please?

1. Disable all extensions individually (via chrome://extensions/)
2. Restart Chrome, see if feedback reporting works
3. If it still doesn't work, please report here; if it does:
4. Re-enable extensions one at a time, restarting Chrome each time, and checking whether feedback works. This might tell us if a specific extension is interfering with feedback.

I disabled all my extensions individually, and restarted Chrome. Upon restarting, feedback reporting is still not working.

@ellyjones, I don't develop on Mac. Could you please try to repro this and let me know what's going on? Might be helpful to check chrome://inspect.

For the record, I can't repro this on either Linux or ChromeOS.
Labels: Needs-Feedback
I can't reproduce this on macOS 10.12.4 beta with 56.0.2924.87 either. I'm not very sure where to go with this.

Reporter, let's try this: start Chrome from the command line with a new user-data-dir, like so:

$ /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome --user-data-dir=/tmp/test

And see if feedback reports work there. If so, something is wrong in your existing profile somehow; if not, I have no clue what's going on :)

Comment 18 by jfz30...@gmail.com, Feb 16 2017

Doing that worked. I could successfully report feedback when I launched Chrome that way. What should/could I do at this point to fix what could be wrong with my profile?
Cc: -afakhry@chromium.org ellyjo...@chromium.org
Owner: afakhry@chromium.org
I'm going to hand that question off to someone from the feedback team.

afakhry@: can you think of anything that could be messed up in a profile directory that would prevent the feedback UI from opening?

This is likely to be the same issue as issue 754329.

Update: I can now submit feedback via the drop-down menus in the latest version of Chrome. Whatever was not working now is.
