only in Fullscreen-Mode: Annoying flickering @ high graphics load on weak graphics card

Reported by s...@orcas.de, Jan 5 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.75 Safari/537.36

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Load the attached files along with two big images named 1.jpg and 2.jpg

What is the expected behavior?
dropped frames should not cause flicker. Instead the last comupted frame should stay visible.

What went wrong?
lost frames due to insufficient graphics card cause a flicker, this is if for example in a keyframe 10 frame should have lineary ascending opacity and then if frames 1 to 3 were shown and frame 4 could not be calculated in time, then the frame sequence is not 1 2 3 3 5 6 7 8 9 10, which would be acceptable, but instead it is 1 2 3 _ 5 6 7 8 9 10, where underscore means that the background picture flashes up.

The described bug only shows up in fullscreen mode.

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 49.0.2623.75 (64-bit) Channel: stable
OS Version:
Flash Version:

This also happens in google chrome.

The processor of the machine affected is a Intel J1900 with embedded graphics card. The bug is visible in 1680x1050 screen resolution, but is better reproduceable in full-hd. I know that the graphics card is to weak for this, but this report is on that we think that dropped frames should be handled better in fullscreen-mode. the handling is ok in not-fullscreen mode. thanks
