When connecting a audio device, the event is triggered on Windows and on Linux, but not on Mac.
See this simple fiddle: https://jsfiddle.net/ashercoren/mfv15p0e/5/

It is a known issue that connecting an audio output-only device does not fire the event on Mac. Any audio device that has a microphone should fire the event on Mac.
All other plaftorm-device combinations should work, except for Android.

mtomasz@, can you provide more details about platform and type of device added?

Thank you Guidou for pointing out the mac issue. Is this something we can expect to see fixed in the near future?
It's in our queue, but I can't provide a reliable ETA.
