chrome.notifications items limit

Reported by thd...@gmail.com, Jan 4 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.28 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Add more than five items when you use chrome.notifications.create()

What is the expected behavior?
Each item should be displayed in desktop notifications.

What went wrong?
Only the first five items is displayed.

Did this work before? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 56.0.2924.28 Channel: beta
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version:

Either this is a bug or the documentation should be updated to tell developers that the items array can only contain five items:

If this is the intended design, then the page below should also be updated:

https://developer.chrome.com/apps/richNotifications

"List notifications display any number of list items" should be replaced with "List notifications display up to five items".

This is applicable only to extensions, so there is no URL. You can create a
dummy extension and add 5 items when creating a rich notification.

In summary, if the limit is 5 by design, then it's not a bug, but the documentation (https://developer.chrome.com/apps/notifications and https://developer.chrome.com/apps/richNotifications) should be update to reflect this. If it is indeed a bug, then the limitation should be removed and maybe you can add a scrollbar when the notification panel grows too tall.
