(1) Make Chrome Full Screen (F11) (2) Type Ctrl-T to open up a new tab (3) You will see default Chrome Google search page (4) Try clicking into the searchbox. It does not get focus What is the expected result? Users should be able to click to the search box, in Full Screen mode, and be able to perform search. What happens instead? Search box is not clickable, does not get focus and therefore cannot enter search criteria, without exiting out from Full Screen. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

This is different than bug 676532. Bug 676532 asks access to omni bar, which frankly doesn't make sense since user is in full screen mode and the omni bar disappears in full screen mode. My bug has to do with the homepage where Google searchbox is present but unable to click and type search criteria. I understand that what it currently does is, when people click on Chrome default page's Google Searchbox, it brings users to omni bar, and hence if omnibar is accessible in full screen mode, this issue might potentially be resolved. |
