Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.87 Safari/537.36 Example URL: http://www.firewalld.org/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to http://www.firewalld.org/ 2. Enter something in the search field What is the expected behavior? The magnifying icon at the left end of the text field should remain visible when text is entered. What went wrong? The magnifying icon at the left end of the text field disappears when any text is entered. Does it occur on multiple sites: No Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 55.0.2883.87 Channel: stable OS Version: Fedora 25 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 Works properly in Konqueror 4.14.25 and Firefox 50.1.0

Unable to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 14.04 and Fedora 24 OS. Followed the steps provided above on chrome version 55.0.2883.87. Search Icon was displayed when text was entered in text field. @ khym.chanur: Kindly try again by resetting chrome settings and update us with your observations.! Thanks.!

Oops, I misstated the bug a bit. The icon disappears when the text field is selected/active; there being text in the field is irrelevant. Anyways, the problem is absent if I visit the site with a brand new user, and if I visit the site using incognito.

Can reproduce on Linux Chrome 67.0.3396.87 Appears background image on the input field isn't painted when autofill style is set. The search icon is the background image on the input field and if you set the result to be autofill result the image disappears.
