Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.28 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. make CTRL+W when you are on a text box close the tab 2. We lose all what we are writing ! 3. What is the expected behavior? If CTRL+W is made when we are editing a text box, this should not close the tab. What went wrong? I have lost several time what I was writing on a text box because I made a CTRL+W instead a CTRL+X, so please make an improvment ! This is not like this on other application when you are editing ! Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 56.0.2924.28 Channel: beta OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0

As per the chrome keyboard shortcuts, Ctrl+w closes the current tab. This is expected behavior This issue seems to be a feature request for improvement. Hence confirming the issue for further inputs on this

In Windows, make a CTRL+W when you are editing does not close the current windows (test with notepad, explorer, etc...). But when it was implemented on web browsers, this part of the shortcut has been forgotten. That seems logical to do not close the tab if you are currently editing a text... For me it is like an issue, and all browsers are in the wrong way. For French people it is very annoying. So if you do not fix this problem here, where should I make my request for an evolution ?
