Chrome crashes when clicked on screenshare during hangouts on Win 7

OS: win7

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to https://hangouts.google.com/hangouts/_/present/google.com
(2) Join a meeting and share your screen

What is the expected result?
Chrome should not crash and screenshare should happen successfully

What happens instead?
Chrome crashes

Currently, this is happening on couple of x1 carbon Win 7 laptops. As a workaround, people are using IE to share the screen on these two machines.

Just came across this issue on a Dell laptop. So, this is happening across all Windows 7 regardless of hardware.
