Unable to reproduce the scenario on Ubuntu 14.04 with chrome version #55.0.2883.87 These are the steps i followed 1. Pinned 3 tabs- Twitter, linkedIn, facebook. 2. Opened two other tabs. 3. crashed the browser using following url "about:inducebrowsercrashforrealz" 4. Opened the chrome browser, clicked on the restore button Observed that only other tabs are opened, not the pinned tabs. Attaching the screen-cast for your reference, please look into it and let us know your observations.

I did some research on it, try reopening the browser by following a link in another application rather than just running it.

This seems to have been fixed. The crash is not, but I will file a separate issue.
