Issue descriptionIMPORTANT: Your crash has already been automatically reported to our crash system. Please file this bug only if you can provide more information about it. Chrome Version: 55.0.2883.87 Operating System: Windows NT 10.0.14393 URL (if applicable) where crash occurred: Can you reproduce this crash? No, it's not reproducible in any reliable way, but it happens almost exclusively when I pause YouTube videos often. What steps will reproduce this crash? (If it's not reproducible, what were you doing just before the crash?) Pausing a YouTube video several times a minute by clicking on the video itself, and sometimes reversing using the mouse pointer by dragging the progress line. I did not use the SPACE-key or the K-key to pause it, so it is unclear if it's really the pausing causing the crash or if it's the mouse-clicking itself. DO NOT CHANGE BELOW THIS LINE**** Crash ID: crash/985128f880000000

Can this happen on every youtube video? Could you please list some videos where you've seen this?

Yes, so far from my experience it can happen on any video if I move the progress line forward or backwards enough times, or pause and resume it often. It happens more often on longer videos (20 - 60 mins) but has happened on shorter videos as well. Just a minute ago, it happened again. The browser froze and reloaded after about 30 seconds.

Thanks, that's good to know. Another question: do you often have a lot of other youtube videos open (either playing or paused) when this happens?

I'm sorry for the delayed response. I wanted to confirm the question you asked before I got back to you. I do sometimes have a few tabs of paused YouTube videos open but mostly it's only one tab of YouTube. The problem can occur on any of these situations. Recently I was viewing an embedded YouTube video on reddit, and it made the browser crash as well, when fast-forwarding. This time however it only froze for a few seconds, making the browser unresponsive, but it reloaded again. I'm happy to help with more questions. Thank you. |
