Non-regression: Drive goes offline on blocking images in chrome

Chrome Version: 57.0.2958.0 dev
OS: Ubuntu 14.04,Windows

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)Sign in to drive >> Observe content >> Now block images either from chrome://settings or click on lock icon and block from there

Expected: Drive should be accessible even on blocking images.
Actual: Instead drive goes offline.

This is a Non-regression issue seen from M34 series.

Able to reproduce the issue on the latest canary(57.0.2958.0) on Mac OS 10.12.2 as well.
