Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.99 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open this demo page http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/grid/column-menu 2. Try to filter in one of the grid columns 3. filter box will close just before the mouse over select something. What is the expected behavior? The menu item should be opened until the end user choose to filter by something What went wrong? The menu item closes on mouse over Did this work before? Able to reproduce the issue on Win 10, Mac 10.12.2 and Ubuntu 14.04 using 55.0.2883.87/95 and canary 57.0.2957.0. Bisect info: ============= Good:55.0.2875.0 Bad :55.0.2876.0 You are probably looking for a change made after 421810 (known good), but no later than 421811 (first known bad). I don't seem to able to repro on Android or Linux with/without touch emulation. Please provide some details: durga.behera@chromium.org: Does it repro on desktop Linux with mouse? Or with touch emulation?

Try to filter in one of the grid columns 3. choose the option FILTER -> the right panel should be opened 4. on the right panel opened try to write something on the textbox marked with a red square 5. the right panel closes before you be able to write something

Thanks for clarifying the steps, I can repro now. It seems Kendo UI is not handling "pointerout" events correctly. For example, when filtering my "Order ID", suppressing "pointerout" events for targets with class "k-numeric-wrap" fixes the problem. Note that the red input box in #c8 image has the same class. Here is a recent bug for Kendo UI: https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/2584 I didn't find any problem with Chrome's pointerevents. So removing release-blocker label. We will keep this bug open to track Kendo UI fix.
