Chrome crashing when changing language

Issue description

Chrome Version: 56.0.2924.26 beta (64-bit)
OS: Linux 3.14.0

Models effected: Acer 14 and Pixel

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) login in to device
(2) Change keyboard setting US
(3) Device crashes and performs what looks like a reboot

What is the expected result?

The excepted results is for the device to be stable, it shouldn't crash and restart the browser.

What happens instead?

The device crashes and performs what looks like a reboot.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

We initially assumed that this issue was related to the following bug:

We have crash from the same issue occurring on 54 cd2e2b5f00000000
We also have a crash ID for the same issue occurring on 56

issue is still to be confirmed on Chrome version 55.

Please let me know if this can be considered a graphics bug.

First, this wasn't a kernel related issue at all. It's a browser process crash. dchan@, can you guys please help us see if this issue still reproduces - it doesn't for me in recent builds.

All browser crashes recorded from this particular user+version seem to be taken care of:

I can't repo on my pixel with 56.2924.110.  +ansar to repo.

Its not reproduced on pixel and peppy with M58-9334.11.0.
