Unable to navigate 'Learn more' link of Performance section via middle click

Issue description

Chrome Version: 57.0.2956.0 (Official Build) 44dbd2f12ae5d6307b607f18fe2dd466d8a8fa38-refs/heads/master@{#439388}
OS: Windows(7,8,8.1,10),Linux (14.04 LTS),Mac OS X(10.11.6, 10.12.1) 

Steps:
1. Launch Chrome and open devtools on NTP
2. Go to Timeline section, middle click on 'Learn more' link seen in Basic and Advanced
3. Observe

Actual: Unable to navigate 'Learn more' link via middle click.

Expected: Should be able to navigate 'Learn more' link via middle click.

This is non-regression issue seen from M-57, since this is new feature introduced in 57.0.2954.0

AFAICT no other places in DevTools support link opening with middle click. You can navigate the link with left or right click.
