Issue descriptionDevice name: lg g5 From "Settings > About Chrome" Application version:56 Operating system: nougat 7.0 URLs (if applicable):- Steps to reproduce: (1)There is no way of zooming or moving webpages to the left or to the right by using mouse only. Even marking some text by using mouse is not possible with the new interface solution. From my point of view the mouse input become useless, because you will need additional touch interface all the time for zooming, marking and horizontal navigation. (2) (3) Expected result: "old" mouse input support to activate in flags or installingf new mouse gestures like long click or something like this. We have rerouted mouse on M56 to fix the issue. When all the dependent bugs has been resolved, we will re-enable "mouse as mouse" and close this bug.

Confirmed that mouse-wheel scrolling works perfectly. So scrolling with mouse is not an issue.

Looks like this commit didn't update the bug: https://codereview.chromium.org/2655433005 This re-enabled the mouse-as-mouse event path in ToT, to continue our fixes. Will affect M58.

With text selection with mouse working as in desktop ( Issue 666060 ), we will have mouse-as-MouseEvent enabled in M58. We will continue to iterate on the remaining blocker bugs (which are new features for Android, not applicable to the old mouse-as-TouchEvent model).

Since most of the issues are fixed and the only remaining ones are P3 I move this to P3 as well. |
