Interstitial buttons are blurry on some Android phones |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 55.0.2883.91 (also on 57.0.2952.0) OS: Android 4.4.4 Device: MITO A33 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Visit expired.badssl.com What is the expected result? The "BACK TO SAFETY" button and "ADVANCED" link are as clear as the rest of the UI. What happens instead? They are blurry (see screenshot). edwardjung@: Is this expected behaviour, or is there a chance our CSS assumes a high-DPI screen?

Did some tests on a Nexus S and seems like the faded gradient background on the buttons is causing the blurring. The way around this is to use a backface-visibility:hidden / transform:translateZ(0) hack which removes the anti aliasing. I'll need to test to see if there are any side effects on other devices.
