Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Obviously this is not reproducible at will. Note that it's not exactly a crash, but the browser stopped responding completely and wouldn't even close. I had to force quit. 1. I had several tabs open, none of which was doing much. 1. I clicked on the close button of a tab. What is the expected behavior? should just close the tab What went wrong? The whole browser froze and stopped responding to any mouse or keyboard actions. The tab's close button remained in the clicked status. When I clicked on other tabs nothing happened. When I clicked to close the whole window, the prompt appeared whether to wait or force quit. I force quit Crashed report ID: How much crashed? Whole browser Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 55.0.2883.87 Channel: stable OS Version: Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 It's probably the first time I observe this, or at least it's been ages since the last time if any. Btw, when the "force close" prompt appears, there should be an option to report the error, creating a bug report and uploading all the relevant information.

Reporter@ Thanks for filing this issue, Could you please provide any sample crash ID's from chrome://crashes which is specific to this issue for further investigation. Note: FYI, Navigate to chrome://settings/search#crash and make sure that "Automatically send usage statistics and crash reports to google" is enabled. This will generate a report ID where we can check the stack trace from crash server. Thanks!
