Able to reproduce the issue on win 10,Ubuntu 14.04 & Mac 10.12.2 using stable 55.0.2883.87/95 and canary 57.0.2952.0. This is a non-regression issue since 35.0.1849.0. Note: Its working fine on FireFox.

That's not great. Over to Roger for triage.

in my repro attempts, the drop down doesn't scroll with the page in either scenario. In the second it just fades away while not scolling.

Perhaps the registration of the JS handler of the scroll event is preempting chromium's internal notification of the event? Places to start looking: https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/components/autofill/content/renderer/autofill_agent.cc?rcl=1484324523&l=215

I was able to repro this and it's also happening in revamped dropdown using native views. We should send an interaction done signal on scrolling as well. Since branch point is tomorrow, I'll try to fix this for M69.
