Google Maps Lite

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. open google maps
2. it will notice/show : "You're in Lite mode. Your browser version may not support the full Google Maps."

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
"You're in Lite mode. Your browser version may not support the full Google Maps."

Does it occur on multiple sites: No

This did work before noticing that Google Maps already has those different modes for a longer time. It is neither hardware-related since in Edge I do get the full mode.

I just tried the same build on Ubuntu Gnome 16.10 (64-bit) and the issue isn't present, so this might be a Windows specific bug

Tested on windows 10 using chrome canary M57 #57.0.2955.0 and didnt observe any issue in maps.google.com.

Attached screencast for reference.

@sufawi -- zcould you please check the attached screencast and confirm us if we had not missed anything in reproducing the issue and also if possible provide us the screencast of the issue.

I have the same experience. 

Using Chrome Canary on Windows 10 (64-bit) would make google maps run on Lite Mode only. The message would say the browser version is not compatible.

If I run regular Chrome at the same time, Chrome Canary would give me the option to switch to Full mode, but not before.

Able to reproduce the issue on the reported version(57.0.2950.4) on Windows-10. However the same is fixed in the latest canary(57.0.2957.0).

Reverse bisected to identify the CL that fixed this.

Last   bad build: 57.0.2953.0
First good build: 57.0.2954.0
