To reproduce:
1. navigate to vimeo.com
2. tap on a video to play it - it goes fullscreen with custom controls
3. exit fullscreen
4. press play in the media notification

ER: somehow the notification shouldn't be there as vimeo presumably doesn't want user to play the video like this
AR: the notification is there and the video is played while invisible

This might just be fixed by communicating to vimeo.com but there might be other video sites like this. Users might not mind but can still be confused.

Note that the frame is visible so I don't think this works via the background playback mechanism - rather we don't hide the notification for a single paused video to allow user to resume it.
