Security certificate failing for major websites

Issue description

Other browsers tested:Firefox
  Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
     Safari:
    Firefox:site indicates secured connection
         IE:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) go to one of the following websites: https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/api/java/util/Locale.html
https://amazon.com/
https://www.netflix.com/
(2)
(3)

What is the expected result?
I expect to see these websites with no issue

What happens instead?
A security warning that the certificates are not verified.
these are verified by firefox

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

You probably meant to attach a screenshot of the error, rather than a screenshot of instructions on taking a screenshot.

Same issue here on

Chromium: 53.0.2785.143 (Developer Build) built on Debian stretch/sid, running on Debian Kali Linux Rolling (64-bit)
Revision: 12ae4ebf489873fc4aad9efc231b9151b330a938
OS: Linux

Comment #3: Your bug is  issue #673888 . Please update your Chromium version.

If your distro does not provide an up-to-date Chromium version, please point them to https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JXEboAVSHuh4-Rq8PD0bHO4fipBVO_1Qmpkxn6HUtFA/edit


Leaving this open until the original reporter responds, in case their issue turns out to be different.

Please provide the information requested in comment #2, or let us know if you've stopped seeing the issue.
Hi appologies for the delay, I am not receiving the issue on the latest available version of chromium
