Google cloud print service not working for newly designed Canon MF249dw network printer in window environment

Reported by rogerd...@gmail.com, Dec 13 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.99 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Connect Canon MF249dw to a local network with Window 10, 7 running
2. Login to the printer IP address to set up the machine and configure the Google cloud printing service. I named the printer as "Company ABC-Media). The "Company ABC-Media" printer was shown registered from Google cloud print server, but remained "offline" all the time. From the printer IP interface, the printer showed that it was "not registered" to google cloud printing service.
3. At the same time, Window network printer auto-discovery puped up a message telling users to conform Google cloud printing service on the printer panel. On the printer panel, a message showed up to ask user to conform the google cloud printing server registration, or not. Once confirmed, a printer named as "Canon 240 Series" showed up on google cloud printing server and remained as offline all the time.

What is the expected behavior?
Both printers, "Company ABC-Media" and "Canon 240 series" were shown registered from google cloud printer management page, but they were all "offline" all the time, no matter how many times I power cycle the printer and waited for hours.

What went wrong?
Printer shown as "offline" all the time; noting can be printed.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 54.0.2840.99 Channel: n/a
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

I was able to set up Canon MF249dw when all Window PCs were not on. The printer was registerred to Google cloud print server and worked well.

But, when Window PCs turned on, and Window network printer auto-discovery detected the printer, and pushed a conformation message to the printer panel screen, and I confirmed it, the printer remained off-line to google cloud print server. Even through I turned off those PC and reset the Canon MF249dw, it did not work with google cloud print server any more.

The label TE-HardwareDependency currently assigned to this issue is inconsistent with the label assigned to other issues in the same category i.e. TE-Hardware-Dependency. This lack of consistency causes search problems.
