How do I interupt a build? |

Issue descriptionMilo UI: https://screenshot.googleplex.com/7VE0uoUT7Fy Swarming UI: https://screenshot.googleplex.com/UJLVduUYJFk I don't see any obvious way to interrupt a hanging build. IMHO, this is critical functionality both for infra people and for devs.

Request to buildbucket will do just fine. So far, i've been doing exactly that manually: https://apis-explorer.appspot.com/apis-explorer/?base=https://cr-buildbucket.appspot.com/_ah/api#p/buildbucket/v1/buildbucket.cancel

This has been listed as untriaged for over two weeks. Marking available. Since the priority is P-1, dropping it. If you disagree with either of these actions (bulk edit), please fix.

Actually, just today Marc pointed out that there is a GitHub for this, but it asn't been addressed yet. See https://github.com/luci/luci-py/issues/62.

FTR I hear this request from time to time but it has never been a critical need in practice. The ability to cancel *pending* tasks is important but running ones is rare, as we already have timeouts. The right fix is to fine tune the timeouts (issue 402454) so no human intervention is needed. I made a bit of progress on this one but it's not completed yet. |
