Not able to select text from a disabled input - which I was able to do sometime back

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.99 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open any website with disabled text box. 2. For example use this site, http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/prop_text_disabled.asp 3. Try to select date with mouse pointer in disabled Hello world text box What is the expected behavior? Some time back I was able to select data in a disabled input field, but after some latest release in chrome, not able to select data from a disabled input What went wrong? Not able to select data from disabled input field Did this work before? Yes Not Sure Does this work in other browsers? No Other browsers behaves the same was as chrome ex, IE. Fierfox had this problem/HTML standard before Chrome version: 54.0.2840.99 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Unable to reproduce the issue on windows-7, Mac-10.11.6 and linux Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome stable version 55.0.2883.87 and latest canary 57.0.2948.0 with the steps mentioned above. Please find the attached screen-cast. Could you please upgrade to Chrome latest version and let us know your observations if the issue still persists. Thanks..

Many Thanks.... After updating chrome with latest version, I was able to select text from disabled field. This is working fine in out application as well.
