No media controls displaying for embedded YouTube video on Clank

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to reddit.com/r/videos and find any YouTube embedded video
(1 alternate) Go to http://output.jsbin.com/cijoxuxove on Chrome for Android
(2) Play video
(3) Tap into player

What is the expected result?

See media controls

What happens instead?

I see a gray bar without any media controls
