Thai open source fonts to be available on chrome os. |
|||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: <From about:version: Google Chrome 54.0.2840.101> and above Chrome OS Version: <From about:version: Platform 8743.85.0> Chrome OS Platform: <Make/model of computer running Chrome OS> Network info: <network, encryption type, router model (if known)> V Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add the label below). The Thai Government has adopted OpenSource Thai fonts. How ever there is no support for them on Chromebooks, is there any way to get these on Chromebooks? Making them available would potentially impact the whole country. Not including them prevents government and educational institutions from using Chromebooks as they are now required to use the official Thai fonts (especially Thai Sarabun). If you would please do what ever you can to push this up the ladder we would appreciate it. Thanks for your awesome support. Steps To Reproduce: (1) (2) (3) Expected Result: Actual Result: How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to reproduce?) What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is it? Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screen shot or log if possible. For graphics-related bugs, please copy/paste the contents of the about:gpu page at the end of this report.

This is about bundling fonts with the browser on ChromeOS, not blink font rendering. Over to the ChromeOS team for further triage.
