Project Member Reported by rohi...@chromium.org, Dec 7 2016

Issue description

This happens for a user when the device is under severe stress. (20-30 windows in this case)

Version 54.0.2840.101 (64-bit)
Platform 8743.85.0 (Official Build) stable-channel chell
Firmware Google_Chell.7820.158.0

16 GB RAM

Here is the report: http://feedback/#/Report/18574983061

Not sure if this is an audio issue or caused by the stress.

Next time this happens, can you get a trace with chrome://slow?
Sure, will do.
Many users related problems with sound only on HP chromebook 13 G1. The workaround is a wipe, but the problem always back.
I'm using the same hardware to reproduce the error and now I'm facing the same issue. There's no sound coming from the laptop and if you plug the headphones a strange sound, like a modem connection, start. I still using the laptop, I can get all the logs that you need.

Few more questions:
- are the headphones connected with 3.5mm audiojack?
- does the noise stay when you unplug the headphones?
- does it happens with different audiojack headphones?
- how about USB headset?
- is the chromebook under stress when starts this noise(like the initial comment).
- when did this issue started?

- are the headphones connected with 3.5mm audiojack?
yes

- does the noise stay when you unplug the headphones?
no, the noise is only on headphones, if you unplug, on laptop built-in speakers there's no audio.

- does it happens with different audiojack headphones?
I have tested with a Bluetooth headphone and works fine. :-)

- how about USB headset?
Unfortunately I don't have one to test now, but I'll.

- is the chromebook under stress when starts this noise(like the initial comment).
No, I just using browser with some static pages. But a interesting thing is that I'm using Youtube.com to play the audio to test and video is not running smoothly.

- when did this issue started?
I can't got the trigger that started this issue, but everyday I tested the audio in the morning and the issue started around one week ago.
