Tested this issue on Windows-10 using chrome latest stable M55-55.0.2883.75 by following steps mentioned in the original comment. No issues observed in searching the string from response tab. Unable to find the string named "Service" instead searched for other few words and the response was fine. msharko@ Could you please confirm is this issue is observed on incognito mode as well? Could you please recheck this issue by creating a new profile under chrome://settings with no apps or extensions in your browser. Thanks!

Yes, it's the same in incognito mode. I noticed that js code has some unexpected spaces in this window (see attached). I will check with new profile later.

Same with the new profile. See here http://screencast.com/t/cfLuCK4DnrSf Note that there is a long pause for processing a letter "i" (and others) after typing "serv" I have Windows 8.1

Btw, the same issue occurs in the Sources tab. However, there is no any issue if you apply a pretty print formatting.
