Issue descriptionIs this the most recent version: OS + version: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): amd64 Window manager: Xorg/Unity URLs (if relevant): https://pki.pappad.info Behavior in Linux Firefox: Works well Chromium 53.0.2785.143 (Developer Build) Built on Ubuntu , running on Ubuntu 16.04 (64-bit) Revision 12ae4ebf489873fc4aad9efc231b9151b330a938 OS Linux Blink 537.36 (@12ae4ebf489873fc4aad9efc231b9151b330a938) JavaScript V8 5.3.332.47 Flash (Disabled) User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/53.0.2785.143 Chrome/53.0.2785.143 Safari/537.36 Command Line /usr/lib/chromium-browser/chromium-browser --enable-pinch --window-depth=24 --x11-visual-id=32 --wm-user-time-ms=90204407 --flag-switches-begin --flag-switches-end URLs (if applicable) : https://pki.pappad.info Other browsers tested: Mozilla Firefox v45 Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Firefox: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Go to website requiring pkcs11 token (eg https://pki.pappad.info) What is the expected result? Chromium will present me with a menu option to enter my PIN for my DoD pkcs11 certificate. It will let me select my desired certificate. Web page will authenticate, I will be able to access data. What happens instead? ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR is displayed on an error page. I was able to get it to work via instructions at: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Common_Access_Card However, the steps to do so are out of scope for the average smart card user (in my opinion.) There's no graphical way to go about adding certificates. Sorry, the contents of my net-internals are too sensitive to post on a public bug tracker.
