Google Smart Lock Not Working

Issue description

Chrome Version       : 55.0.2883.75 m (64-bit)
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
     Safari:OK
    Firefox:51.0 Beta 6 OK
         IE:OK

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected result?
Chrome Has to save passwords

What happens instead?
There is a prompt to save the password but once clicked on Save the password is not actually saved. The passwords saving and autofill are enabled in the settings.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows-10 using chrome latest stable M55-55.0.2883.75.

1. Navigated to twitter.com
2. Clicked on sign-in
3. Entered username and password
4. Observed save password bubble displayed on top of the omnibox as expected

dixit@ Are you seeing this issue across all webpages or specific to twitter? Could you please recheck this issue by creating a new profile without any apps or extensions in your browser.

this issue is across all webpage. and another issue is whenever i close chrome and re open it, my chrome account sign-in detail are out of date. I've to re login every time.

The failure to save might be due to a failure to sync your data. A failure to sync your data might be due to what is described in comment #3. If you Sign in again as the settings shown in #3 ask you to do, are you able to save your passwords? What do chrome://sync-internals/ say once you sign back in.

I'm also looping in sync and signin components, because #3 is likely the root cause of these issues.

Please do the following to help with debugging:

(1) Completely quit Chrome
(2) Re-open Chrome (as you've described in comment #3, this should cause an auth error for you)
(3) Take a screenshot of chrome://signin-internals and chrome://sync-internals
(4) Fix the auth error by re-signing in with your Google Account
(5) Take another screenshot of chrome://signin-internals and chrome://sync-internals

Please attach all 4 above screenshots (from before fixing the auth error and after fixing the auth error) to this bug report.
