Omnibox doesn't show current page info after clicking away from typing in it

Project Member Reported by grt@chromium.org, Dec 7 2016

Issue description

Chrome Version: 57.0.2939.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit)
OS: Win10

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Navigate to a page
(2) Ctrl-E to initiate a Google search in the omnibox
(3) Click anywhere in the body of the page (but not on a link)

What is the expected result?

The omnibox reverts to showing information about the current page.

What happens instead?

The omnibox continues to show "Search Google"

The same thing happens if you start typing some gibberish in the omnibox and click away.

This is intentional. Sometimes people start typing something in the omnibox, then need to find something on the page to clarify or help them decide the rest of their search terms. Clearing the omnibox upon this loss of focus would hamper this type of interaction. If you want to revert to seeing the underlying URL for the page, press escape.

Super. That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.
