Issue descriptionChrome Version : 55.0.2883.75 OS Version: Linux 4.4.0-53-generic #74-Ubuntu SMP Fri Dec 2 15:59:10 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux URLs (if applicable) : Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Firefox 50.0.2: OK CURL: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Use OpenVPN to establish connection to private domain 2. Try opening resource on that domain What is the expected result? Chrome should open resource, say website What happens instead of that? Chrome errors with ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. 1. It was working OK a couple releases ago. 2. Clearing DNS cache on chrome://net-internals/#dns and restarting browser helps. UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.75 Safari/537.36

Sadly, there isn't enough information here to debug, and it's been more than a year. I suspect it was related to use of the async resolver on Linux, which is now disabled. Please open a new bug if the issue is still happening. |
