After a few minutes of use the UI freezes, it doesn't recover

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.143 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Launch chromium 2. Use web sites 3. UI stops repainting What is the expected behavior? UI shouldn't freeze What went wrong? The browser becomes unresponsive and stops updating. Sometimes I see the unresponsive page dialogue box appear, but it doesn't manage to paint the contents, I just see the title bar. Crashed report ID: How much crashed? Whole browser Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 53.0.2785.143 Channel: stable OS Version: Debian Flash Version: disabled I attached to the frozen chromium process with ltrace. The command I ran was "ltrace --demangle -f -p 13864 2> chromium_ltrace". Output is attached.
