Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.100 Safari/537.36 Example URL: http://thegrio.com/2016/12/02/trump-no-border-thanks-to-vicious-rivers/?utm_content=bufferc4f58&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to the given URL and let it finish loading. What is the expected behavior? As shown by Chrome's task manager the page should use an acceptable amount of memory. What went wrong? According to Chrome's task manager, the page uses about 1.6 GB (1,711,000 KB) of memory. Does it occur on multiple sites: No Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 54.0.2840.100 Channel: n/a OS Version: Fedora 24 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0 Using Firefox 50.0, with just one window and one tab, uses only 717,000 KB. That's still a lot, but it also include overhead. Firefox just showing https://www.google.com/ uses 239,000 KB, so if you consider that to be the overhead the problem page was only taking 478,000 KB, meaning Chrome is taking 3.6 times as much memory to render the same page.
