UMA stat for depth of iframe embedding |
||||
Issue descriptionKnowing how deep the tree of nested cross-origin iframes can be is useful input to design choices in event routing, resize throttling, etc. so add an UMA stat to measure this depth. flackr@: you mentioned that you knew someone who might have time to add this? nasko@: my understanding is that we do not have this information. Please update if I'm incorrect.

Do we still care about this data point? It should be simple UMA to add by following parent pointers and counting the length whenever we add an iframe to the page. I'd be happy to review a CL, but don't have the time to write one.

We do care in the sense that this stat would bound how bad will it be to use slow-style viz hit testing for difficult OOPIF cases.
