Chome frequently crashes on close (especially when shutting down Mac with it open)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Closing browser
(2)
(3)

What is the expected result? Does not crash

What happens instead? Crash

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Frequently, I can not close/quit the browser without it crashing. Every time it does, I report it using the crash reporting tools but this bug keeps happening through versions of Chrome so far and was first reported 2 versions ago.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Mac 10.11.6 using 54.0.2840.98 and latest stable 55.0.2883.75.Could you please help with the crash Id from Chrome://crashes to help further triage.

Certainty. I have many. Thanks for looking at it. I haven't found 100% repro steps either, but I keep trying. It happens frequently, but not consistently. It happened with my previous Macbook Pro (Retina, mid 2012) and this new one (15 inch - Late 2016)
