content_unittest binary is too large to strip |
||||
Issue descriptionAs part of the Chromecast build process, we need to strip all the unittest binaries so they can be uploaded to devices for testing. The content_unittests has gotten so large now that the strip tool cannot strip it, instead it just gets confused and says 'file format not recognized' x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/armv7a-cros-linux-gnueabi/binutils-bin/2.25.51/strip.elf:content_unittests: File format not recognized It's bigger than a 32-bit architecture can handle :( $ ls -la content_unittests -rwxr-x--- 1 slan eng 4297031220 Dec 2 09:47 content_unittests (Internal bug: b/33284348)
