Could you try to re-install chrome and check if the issue persists. Before un-installation make sure you are signed out of Chrome and thereafter delete Chrome folder from C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Google\ for clean un-installation. Also, let us know the chrome version where you are seeing the issue.

I did re-install chrome. I will try to delete the local files as well. I'm not able to check what version I have installed because any page that I try to go to is labeled 'Untitled' with a grey screen.

Once the chrome in uninstalled from Control Panel, Open the Registry Editor by pressing the Windows Key + R type regedit and click OK. Locate; HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google and delete it by right clicking it and selecting delete. Reinstall Chrome and see if the issue persists.

I appreciate all of your responses. Regarding the last response, deleting it from the registry editor, the problem still seems to be apparent. My only thought on this is that my windows has malware and/or viruses that could be interfering with google chrome. I've used my anti-virus and nothing seems to be showing up. Anyways, thank you for your responses.

@makusipeter-- Can we know which anti-virus you are using and also do you see any conflicting modules loaded under chrome://conflicts?? Thanks!

Same thing happens here. Version 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit). No //conflicts appear. Resetting the profile or the registry didn't help. Windows Defender for an antivirus. This is a pretty fresh installation, only a week old. Only AdBlock and Session Buddy extensions are present. However, it only happens after using the browser for a while, so restarting it helps... temporarily. Noteworthy: if that happens, I can't load any new page or chrome:// links, even the "new tab" page is blank - BUT I CAN reload all the pages that successfully loaded so far.

Could you please try Chrome Clean up tool, if it could resolve the issue. https://www.google.com/chrome/cleanup-tool/

Exactly same problem here. It happened on different domain computer (on different brand, different config,...), it just happens randomly. It even happened on brand new computer with just this software installed: Google chrome (obvisouly), Mozilla Firefox, Fsecure and Adobe reader DC The only solution working is to reboot the computer, but it helps only temporarily...

Could anyone from Blink>Loader team provide an update on this if its related to this area, else please suggest a proper component for this.
,
Apr 5 2017
This is unlikely to be a blink>loader issue. I would recommend to further narrow down: 1. do websites load just fine on other browsers? 2. what about loading a website in an incognito window? 3. etc.

My colleagues and I get this issue intermittently when F-Secure is running. Our ESET users are unaffected. The rendering engine seems unable to initialise as even chrome://version/ fails to display. Running Chrome in '--no-sandbox' mode circumvents the issue (at the expense of security). F-Secure claim they're aware of the issue and suggest uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome will fix it, but the issue returns after a while. Looks like a case of badly-behaved Anti-Virus, as mentioned by Justin Schuh.

Hey there. The problem on my end seems to be miraculously fixed. I did nothing after months of the problem persisting. I did a re-install, guessing that the problem would stick around but surprisingly chrome worked - for the most part. One slight problem is that certain pages don't load unless I flush all the sockets.
