Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.59 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create a primary Chrome profile and a secondary Chrome profile. 2. On the secondary Chrome profile, download and install a Chrome theme. 3. Type anything into the Chrome omnibox on both the primary profile (without the theme) and the secondary profile (with the theme). What is the expected behavior? A Material Design like shadow appears between the Chrome omnibox suggestions dropdown and the New Tab Page (NTP) on both the profile without the Chrome theme *and* the one with the Chrome theme. What went wrong? In particularly the Chrome profile with the Chrome theme, there is not much of, if any, Material Design like shadow between the omnibox suggestions dropdown and the NTP background. WebStore page: N/A Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 55.0.2883.59 Channel: beta OS Version: 6.3 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0 This is a minor aesthetics issue and is not very high priority, but I would still like it to be fixed. Thank you.

I'm not sure I follow. Can you include a screenshot? The shadow is probably just not very visible on top of whatever theme you're using.

Tested this scenario in windows 10 with chrome version #55.0.2883.59 as per steps mentioned in the comment #0. Didn't observed any difference between the two profiles. Attaching a screen-cast for your reference, lemoncustompc@ could you please help us with the expected screenshot, so that we triage this issue from our end. Thank you...

I guess it's just my Chrome theme. I'm using a shade of Google material design blue for the new tab page background.

yes, the shadow is there, just hard to see on that background. You can notice it more clearly over the scroll bar. +sgabriel FYI

Yes the shadow is light on purpose. |
