Chrome shows error page after Universal Link and "Back to Chrome" |

Issue descriptionApp Version (from "Chrome Settings > About Chrome"): 54.0.2840.91 iOS Version: 9.3.5 (but problem probably exists on iOS 10 as well) Device: iPhone SE Steps to reproduce: Find a web page with a link that is a Universal Link to an iOS app. You can try eBay, airBnB, etsy, etc. Click on the link. iOS native app is launched (great!) Tap on "Back to Chrome" on the status bar to return to Chrome. Observed behavior: You are back in Chrome, but the tab displays a "download" page. See attachment. Expected behavior: You should be back to the same page where the link was.

This is no longer a problem after fixing issue 711511 . Return to Chrome after Universal Link no longer end up with a broken page.

This appears to be still a problem: The behavior is as follows: 1) Search for a something on Google on Bling - [London hotels] 2) See booking.com ad and click it. The URL for that link is of type: https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwiQoP3Y6pLXAhWKiX4KHZkTBccYABAIGgJwYw&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAASEuRols2H8oC8ikBPFnTvDCFOdw&sig=AOD64_3yrJOz1pc0O1_J0zoe_5e94StCwA&q=&ved=0ahUKEwix6vjY6pLXAhVoxFQKHQWIA58Q0QwINQ&adurl= 3) Since I have booking.com app that has app link enabled, the click opens the app. 4) Do my booking, and decide to come back to chrome. Press the "< Chrome" link on top left 5) Don't land back on Google search results page in Bling but some empty booking.com page which has a page icon and "Cannot determine file size" message and download option(it downloads HTML when I click it). Retried steps in comment 5. In step 5, user lands back on the Chrome search results page correctly. Nothing to fix. |
