Gmail photo crash

Issue description

Chrome Version       : 54.0.2840.99 m (64-bit)
URLs (if applicable) : gmail.com
Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
    Firefox: PASS 48.0

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) click compose button to make E-mail
(2) click attachment button
(3) click and drag photo from selection window and click cancel
(4) Now attempt to drag photo

What is the expected result? photo should be draggable and usable. 


What happens instead? Google freezes and proceeds to crashing.


Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible. This was found while attempting to send a photo. It froze and crashed. To verify i rebooted and attempted the problem. Error only works on google chrome.

Unable to reproduce the issue on windows-7, Mac-10.11.6 and linux Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome stable version 54.0.2840.99 and latest canary 	57.0.2937.0 with the steps mentioned above.
Please find the attached the screen-cast and could you please let us know if anything missed here to reproduce the issue.

Tested the issue on windows-10 using chrome stable version 55.0.2883.87 and latest canary 57.0.2963.0 with the steps mentioned in comment#0 and the issue is not reproduced.

Reporter@ could you please upgrade the chrome to the latest version and please let us know your observations if the issue still persists.
