Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.100 Safari/537.36 Example URL: Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to http://www.hotstar.com/ 2. Select any video to play. 3. A black screen or loading indicator is shown in the video part. What is the expected behavior? Needs to play the selected video What went wrong? Tried playing this video http://www.hotstar.com/sports/cricket/india-vs-england-2016/m181706/match-clips/easy-chase-gives-india-20-lead/2001900860 Did this work before? N/A Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Able to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 14.04 using 54.0.2840.100. The issue is same on 48.0.2564.103 as well. Do you remember if it's used to play in chrome previously. Else it looks like the issue may be from the site side and specific to Linux. Its working fine on Windows 10 and Mac 10.11.6 using 54.0.2840.99/89 and latest stable 55.0.2883.75.

Able to reproduce the issue on Linux Ubuntu-14.04 using chrome stable version 55.0.2883.87 with the steps mentioned in comment#0. This is non-regression issue observed from M-35 # 35.0.1916.150. Hence marking it as Untriaged to get it addressed. Note:Issue in not seen in Windows-7 and Mac-10.12.2. Thanks..

@sureshkumari : my linux box is down for now...when you did the test, did you see a "Flash is required" download link? On M56 & M57, I see this for Windows & Mac (corporate policy enabled) and you'd see it if "Prefer HTML5 over Flash" (in chrome://flags)? |
