Android WebView app is disabled,couldnt enable it

THIS TEMPLATE IS FOR FILING BUGS ON THE ANDROID SYSTEM WEBVIEW. GENERAL WEB
BUGS SHOULD BE FILED USING A DIFFERENT TEMPLATE!

Android WebView app is disabled and I could not enable it. Also my play store is not allowing to download or update any apps in it.

Hello

This is working as intended. In 7.0 chrome (monochrome) provides the webview functionality, and the webview package is disabled. If you disable chrome, webview will be enabled, and start receiving updates. But in the default situation (which you're currently in), when you receive a chrome update, you also implicitly receive a webview update.
