Issue descriptionChrome Version : 57.0.2936.0 325a49517707810d1abdfb0040e19b7abb5addbe-refs/heads/master@{#434845} 32/64 bit OS : Mac(10.11.6, 10.12.1, 10.12), Windows(7,8,10) Precondition : Freshly install Chrome and sign into chrome using valid credentials. What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Click on Avatar icon at top RHS, switch to ‘Guest mode’ and minimise the guest user window. 2. Now in main user, again click on Avatar icon and click on ‘Manage People’ button. (Manage People window opens) 3. In Manage People window, click on iron icon (seen on user profile picture) and click on ‘Remove this person’ and remove the user (Guest window appears). 4. Close the Guest window and observe the ‘Manage People window’. Actual : Blank ‘Manage People window’ is seen after removing the current person. Expected : After removing the current person, new person should get added automatically and ‘Manage People window’ should not appear blank. This is a regression issue broken in ‘M-57’, below is the Manual Regression range and will soon update other info. Good build : 57.0.2931.0 Bad build : 57.0.2933.0

This bug is not blocking users anymore since https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=683986 is already fixed.

Sounds like an interaction with removing the current profile from settings while a Guest mode profile is opened, and failing to automatically create another profile.

Jerome, did Issue 683986 fix this issue? Or is this a separate issue? I'm not sure I understand how they're related.

Both me and Jerome cannot reproduce this bug on Windows and macOS: a new profile is created as expected when the last non-guest profile is deleted. I think that Anthony's CL has fixed this bug. Marking it as fixed accordingly. |
