Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_1) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.98 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Launch Chrome 2. Go to Apple menu and click "shutdown" 3. NO window appears stating that Google Chrome stops the shutdown. Chrome does not quit, thus the system won't shutdown. Even force quit cannot quit chrome very often. What is the expected behavior? Chrome quits and the system shuts down shorty thereafter What went wrong? Chrome wont quit and neither does the system shut down. This bug shows the same symptomatics as this one from 2010: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=44321 Did this work before? No Chrome version: 54.0.2840.98 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.12.1 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

mac triage: Cannot reproduce with 54.0.2840.98, using these steps: 1) Launch Chrome 2) Navigate to https://www.google.com 3) Apple menu -> Shutdown The system shuts down instantly as expected. Reporter: Are all of your chrome tabs ordinarily responsive when you try to reproduce this? Do you have any extensions installed?

Ok so I reproduced the problem and made a video which you can watch here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/61793977/chrome_bug_668954.mp4 The problem seems to be directly related to apples automated "quit all apps" function with automator. As you can see in the video, when i press the automator icon the first time, chrome does not quit, then i open telegram and press the automator icon again and both quit. Then i open chrome again and click the automator icon, now chrome won't shut down and seems to be frozen, also the system won't shut down now. And yes, I do have some plugins installed, i. e. Postman, Chrome Remote Desktop, UBlock Origin, etc.
