2 MB is a lot :-( But why are we only seeing this now? This roll landed many months ago.

We saw this in November, but the bug never got properly triaged. I noticed the shipped Linux binary size went up quite a bit over the past year and started analyzing.

I see.

I don't think we'll go back and dig into what changed in this particular range, but I think this is an important reminder that we need to track size better.

Nico: we should make the clang roll process surface size changes, especially now that we're targeting more users.
