Regression: Unnecessary glimpse of close button is seen on clicking 'Headers and footer' checkbox.

Chrome Version: 57.0.2929.0 (Official Build) d78075be67a3ee6520d1f8377cd69b478ebdf5ee-refs/heads/master@{#434071} 32/64-bit.
OS: Windows (7,8,10), Mac (10.11.6, 10.12.1), Linux (14.04 LTS)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch chrome and navigate to chrome://md-settings page.
2. Type anything (For Ex: Google) in 'Search Settings' text box.
3. Give print command using 'Ctrl' + 'P' and go to 'More settings' section.
4. Multiple times click on 'Headers and footer' checkbox under 'Options' section and observe.

Unnecessary glimpse of close (X) button is seen at top right corner.
No such glimpse should be seen on clicking 'Headers and footer' checkbox.

This a regression issue, broken in M-54 series, below is manual regression range.

Good build: 54.0.2838.0
Bad build: 54.0.2839.0

Just to update, still able to reproduce the issue on Latest Canary# 57.0.2936.0 on Windows & Mac and on #57.0.2929.0 on Linux.
@dbeam -- Could you please look into the issue and update.

Still we are able to reproduce the issue on Windows 7, mac 10.11.6 & Ubuntu 14.04 with Latest Canary#57.0.2942.0 version.Observed Unnecessary glimpse of close (X) button is seen at top right corner when we click multiple times on 'Headers and footer' checkbox under 'Options' section .

Could you please take a look into this issue.

Cannot reproduce this on Linux or Windows 10 on current Stable (58.0.3029.81). Is this still an issue?
