spell checking doesn't work in textarea if textarea has prefilled text

Reported by ar...@maven.pl, Nov 22 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.100 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Have google chrome spell checking enabled.

2.
Open html page (even locally) with simple textarea like this in it:
 <textarea cols="120" rows="25">

Testing testing</textarea>

3. Try to add new text at *beginning* of text area. Some text or word with spell checking in it.
4. Notice that google chrome didn't underline badly written words.
5. Now move to the end of "Testing testing" text. Add space or enter/new line.
6. google chrome now starts to underline earlier badly written text!

What is the expected behavior?
Spell checking should start working immediately after entering badly written word.

What went wrong?
google chrome didn't start spell checking while it should

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 54.0.2840.100 Channel: stable
OS Version: PLD Th
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Here I used Polish "geś" instead of properly written "gęś" as test word.

("spell checking in it" -> "spell error in it")

Text area cannot be empty. It needs to be filled with some text first.
