Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.98 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Difficult to reproduce. It happens from time to time. I open a site, I open chrome web dev to record a timeline, and I found the timeline blank. I can click on items if any, and when the mouse is over a label is shown, but visually there is anything. I normally able to get this back to work by enabling the mobile view. What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? Couldn't debug a site. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 54.0.2840.98 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.11.6 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Tested this issue on Mac 10.11.6, Win-10 and Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome reported version #54.0.2840.98 and latest canary #57.0.2926.0. Attached a screencast for reference. Steps followed to reproduce the issue are as follows: ----------- 1. Opened wikipedia.com. 2. Opened dev tools by inspecting the page. 3. Clicked on timeline tab and recorded for 16 seconds. 4. Stopped the recording. 5. Observed that after stopping the recording, the timeline was blank. 6. Refreshed the page and found that the timeline was no more empty. Reporter@ - Could you please verify the screencast and please let us know if it is the issue? Thanks...!!

Comment #2 is not related to the original report. The behavior in #2 is ok. Regarding the original report. Can you please save and attach the timeline once that happens. Also providing a url to repro could help.

Video in comment 2 reproduce the issue. In some cases I've noticed even the first panel to be empty. I'll try to reproduce / upload a timeline asap.

In video in comment #2 it works as expected. The first recording just records the idle page, so there's almost nothing on the timeline. The second recording records reload when there are lots of events happening. So I'm closing it as WAI.

I've been not able to reproduce hence record the issue again, even in the same site I was experiencing problems last time. Should I record a timeline and post in any case if this happens again or considering the wontfix I should not bother?
