System settings: OS X 10.11.6 (15G1108)
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB
Chromium: ToT [with some logging] from Nov. 14 [8cc356c754f7f9632c538b0f7318e42d97573ad0]
I haven't been able to reproduce this, but I do have a crash log after the GPU process was killed (10 second hang)
[approximate reproduction steps - I don't remember exact details]
1) Start Chrome at a test site: file:///Users/erikchen/Downloads/canvasbug.html
[Can be obtained from Issue 662696 ]
2) Before the site presents a popup, navigate to youtube. Click on a youtube video.
3) Enter HTML fullscreen.
4) Exit HTML fullscreen.
5) Enter HTML fullscreen.
Felt like a total system hang, or maybe all commands were being routed to Chrome which was ignoring them [basically a beachball without the actual beachball showing up]. As soon as the GPU process was killed, system felt normal again.
Description of hang: gpu::ImageTransportSurfaceOverlayMac::SwapBuffersInternal calls glFinish(), which hangs for 10 seconds.
Happy to close this out if we think there is nothing to do. Reporting it since we have been hearing about GPU hangs.
